Viu TV: America’s got Aliens

In June 2017, to whet the appetite of millennials for US travel and to entice them to explore new destinations, we partnered with Delta Airlines and Viu TV to launch a TV travel program called 'America’s got Aliens', planned and hosted by Hong Kong travel blogger, Faye Chow.

Solution

 

We took a group of Hong Kong millennials on a road trip in the US to major UFO hotspots, including Sedona and Roswell, to explore traces of famous UFO legends.


In the 4th quarter of 2016, ten 22-minute episodes were published and aired on Viu TV and promoted via organic and paid coverage, such as Next Plus, Apple Daily, YouTube and Faye Chow’s social media channels.

 

The program was a huge success with over 1 million clicks per episode, and it was ranked as the second most popular travel program on Viu TV in 2016.
